I always knew you were cool, but damn girl, you've got it going ON with the footwear! I covet every single pair and love, love, love your tattoos. I first found your blog from the tattoo's in your SPT and have always loved them, their location, etc. Nice photos!!

Thanks mama! My shoe shopping is almost nonexistant since I don't want to buy leather anymore -- though shoes #1, 2 & 5 are vegan. But do you think I'll throw out my old leather cowboy boots or the fuschia suede flats, all bought years ago? HELLNO. Just as important to me is, ahem, not being wasteful. I'll wear all my nonvegan shoes until they fall apart and then tearfully I'll say goodbye, thanking them for their good service.

The last pair of shoes looks insanely comfortable. Beautiful colors and patterns.

la vie, I have to say of all the tattoos I have, the tops of the feet may have smarted the most. I hung in because I wanted them so badly and because these actually did not take a lot of time. Just over a hour for each foot. But ooo lord over those little bones? Crazy.

GW - those last shoes ARE insanely comfortable. evil nike does not seem to make these in the neoprene or whatever that cushy fabric is, which I'm very sad about.

Ok, yeah, I'm glad you posted about the pain level associated with those tattoos, because when I look at those pictures all I think is "OUCH!" I have me a little tiny "i'm 18 and i just moved out of my parents' house" tattoo on my ankle, and I cried like an infant when during the whole...oh, 5 minutes it took the guy to ink it. An hour for each of those delicate little feet? As far as I'm concerned, you are a hard-ass.

How funny - I've been thinking of celebrating my shoes on my blog! And wow, the tattoos -- I once wrote a short story in which a character had eyes tattooed on the tops of her feet (and at the very end she casually slid one foot under a nun's habit, eye peering up) and loved the idea, but I am tattoo-less and have heard the tops of the feet are a painful place. Way cool though!

Yeah, I hadn't thought about the tattoo pain. I have nearly twenty hours of work on me, but I'd never get one on my foot.

YOU ARE STOIC.
